In de maanden mei-juni stelt Recyclart ruimte ter beschikking voor ontwikkeling. In de luwte voor de storm van ons jaarlijks zomerfestival is er plaats en tijd om onze site te vullen met ondersteuning bij afstudeerprojecten in de vorm van residenties, try-outs, onderzoek, jury’s, publieke momenten - een plek voor experiment, om dingen op hun beloop te laten gaan en een context te bieden waarin gecreëerd en getoond kan worden.

The collection “Building Brussels” has been developedbased on mydailyobservation of Brussels. It approaches thethemes: city, construction, vegetation, belonging in a ludic way. The name "Building Brussels” playswiththemeaning of theworlds. I'mconstructingan image of Bressels in thedrawings but also Brussels is a citythat is constantlyunderconstruction.   I'mfrom Brasília, a modernist citywith: standard architecture, urbansparrows, low demographicdensity. I usedto live in a high-middle class neighborhoodwithunrestricted access to green areaswhichwasn'tthereality of allneighborhoods, but for me beingaround nature was somethingdaily. I movedto Brussels to do a Master in Urban Studies and I found myself in a completely different citythan Brasília, thusmanyquestionsarosethatinspired me to make thiscollection: are green areas a social right? In a citywith high demographic density like Brussels, are the constructions of buildings prioritized other than green areas? What is the consequence of that? How is green related to the wellbeing of people? Could Brussels become a home for me and other foreigners? Those are just some of the questions that come into my mind since I've arrived here.

Kenza Lansari is een in Brusselse geluidskunstenaar van Belgische/Tunesische afkomst. Voor haar nieuwste project 'autobio' ging ze op ontdekkingstocht in de microkosmos van de Heyvaertstraat in Anderlecht en vroeg ze zich af hoe klimaat-privilege ons ervan weerhoudt actie te ondernemen tegen klimaat ontwrichting. In de documentaire/performance  'Autobio' zoekt ze naar haar eigen positie op het ‘schulden-spectrum’ als het gaat om klimaat-ontwrichting veroorzaakt door cognitieve dissonantie.

Et comment des pertesvécues dans l'enfancecontraignent-elles à (se) créerunautre imaginaire? Les récits se combine dans une fiction entretexte, mouvement, son et occupationd'espaces réels et/ouoniriques.
