Sad Banana tente de regarder le monde du point de vue d'une banane. À partir de réflexionsdivergentes, iel tente de créer une salade de fruits existentielle ressemblant à un concertmusical dont les paroles oscillent entre bravades et angoisses, vulnérabilité et kitsch,politique et pastiche. Sad ! ... La banane est un fruit fragile. Elle est cueillie verte, lavée,emballée et transportée dans des boîtes en carton. C'est dans ce carton que la banane estdevenue triste et qu'elle a réalisé que, contre sa volonté, elle était devenue le symbole d'unmondialisme omniprésent. Sad Banana cultive cette tristesse dans ses textes, sa musique etses images. Iel utilise son appétit pour le punk, le rap et le dadaïsme pour créer uneinterprétation contemporaine de ce que signifie être une banane trop mûre dans un mondepost-capitaliste.Sad B. est triste, mais iel sait que les larmes se transforment en beats si onles reconnaît pour ce qu'elles sont. Sad!

Anna De Sutter (°1995) is a Brussels based multi-media artist. She holds a MFA (LUCA school of Arts, 2022) and a master in philosophy (KU Leuven, 2020). She makes songs, videos, (in-situ) installations and performances. With inspiration drawn from popculture she dramatizes and stages concepts about daily life and deeper existential themes like love&death. In her artistic work she finds a balance between her philosophical intrests and attraction towards playfulness and the absurd. ANNA is her alter-ego that does the performing. She brings self written and produced songs sometimes accompanied by poetic videos. In her shows she dances on the fine lines between pop music, cabaret, punk and poetry.

Léonore Bienert (1998), a Brussels student in urban space at La Cambre adopts a playful approach, creating an organic environment, where the works invite to be experienced, touched and manipulated. We are all inhabited by a constant flow, a perpetual tension between the state of our body's matter—fluids, smells, sweat, noise, and movement. Paradoxically, our consciousness enables us to detach from these sensations, to turn our gaze towards an outside world. This external world is characterized by the rigidity of its deeply rooted structures. It is only through intensive exercise, illness, or experiencing pain that we reconnect more with our body and its internal workings.

The continuity of fluidity not only reveals the ambiguity of the human body—allowing us to navigate the inevitable opposition between a lived and a perceived body —but also challenges binary and dualistic views rethinking relationships among things, individuals, and spaces. Keeping in mind the importance of movement, porosity, and transformation.
