En uitgerekend ‘Grenzen’ is de titel van het spektakel dat **Christian Zanési** en **Arnaud Rebotini** u voorschotelen, met de medewerking van de videaste **Zita Cochet**. Eerstgenoemde, huidig adjunct-directeur van het GRM (Groupe de recherches musicales), is erin geslaagd de akoesmatische muziekstroming nieuw leven in te blazen. De tweede, erudiet rocker, bevestigt thans zijn voorliefde voor analoge synthesizers, zowel tijdens zijn concerten als op zijn releases, die hij injecteert met een ferme shot dionysische energie. Door de auteurs ontworpen als ‘een overgang tussen hedendaagse en elektronische muziek, waarbij hun componeer- en productiewerk wordt belicht’, is Frontières een ontmoeting tussen ‘twee complementaire klankculturen’: een ode aan de elektronische fee. Het toont aan hoe weinig vruchtbaar het is muziek te willen indelen of etiketteren.
