Julie Neuwels, Lionel Devlieger, Valéry Didelon en Audrey Contesse leggen de link tussen de twee boeken, en onderzoeken de impact van bepaalde architecturale benaderingen en discours op de evolutie van praktijken in de bebouwde en onbebouwde ruimte. Ze belichten het potentieel van deze benaderingen als drijvende krachten voor verandering in het licht van de klimaatuitdagingen. Als tegenwicht voor de overvloedige bestaande literatuur die focust op wat ecologie doet met architectuur, draait [Ce que l’architecture fait à l’écologie](https://www.editions205.fr/products/ce-que-l-architecture-fait-a-l-ecologie) het perspectief om en opent het boek een debat. De auteurs, onderzoekers en praktijkdeskundigen, vragen zich af op welke manieren actoren in de ruimtelijke ordening — zoals architecten, landschapsarchitecten en ingenieurs — de maatschappelijke verwachtingen vormgeven op het gebied van de strijd tegen klimaatverandering, uitputting van hulpbronnen en het verlies van biodiversiteit.
