Benin stond gekend als de ‘Slavenkust’, en is van oudsher de bakermat van Voodoo. De film documenteert de Vodoun rituelen van 2010 met o.a. de cultus van Sakpata (god van pest en genezing), Egoun taferelen met magische kostuums en de Zangbeto of ‘wachters van de nacht’. Hisham zal praten over zijn werk en methodologie bij zijn film- en geluidsopnames voor Sublime Frequencies.
