Hij zou af moeten zijn in 2013 en de opening zal de gelegenheid zijn om het gehele openbare vervoersnetwerk om te vormen en te herstructureren. Parallel aan dit project worden er evenwel nog andere grote ingrepen gepland: een nieuwe autotunnel onder en een derde autobrug over de Bosforus, autotunnels op de Europese oever, nieuwe lichte metrolijnen... Zullen al deze projecten de grote mobiliteitsproblemen van Istanbul oplossen? Op welke manier vormt deze vervoerspolitiek, al dan niet samenhangend, het uitgangspunt voor stadsplanning? Lezing door: de Franse geograaf **Jean-François Pérouse**, verantwoordelijk voor het Stedelijk Observatorium van Istanbul en docent aan de Galatasaray-Universiteit.
