Hoe oud is de avantgarde? Hoe hedendaags is 'oude' muziek? Een tweedaags festival bij en in samenwerking met onze buren De Brigittinen. Dit jaar vroegen we aan Kosi Hidama (danser, keramist, installatie) om een installatie over ‘tijd’ te bouwen in de hall van de Brigittinenkapel, een variante op de installatie die hij eerder voor Working Title Festival maakte. [**Liu Fang** ](http://www.liufangmusic.net/English/)werd geboren in Kunming in het zuidwesten van China (Yunan). Als ‘enfant prodige’ excelleerde ze reeds op vroege leeftijd op traditionele Chinese geplukte snaarinstrumenten zoals pipa. Ze wordt nu algemeen aanzien als één van de absolute grootmeesters van dit instrument met een repertoire dat tweeduizend jaar Chinese geschiedenis omspant. [**Voice**](http://www.voicetrio.co.uk) (°2006) is een vrouwelijk a capella trio (Victoria Couper, Clemmie Franks, Emily Burn) uit London dat muzikaal tijd en ruimte overspant. Ze zingen en rijgen naadloos aan elkaar: van Hildegard von Bingen (XIIde eeuw) over renaissance polyfonie tot Euopese traditionele muziek en hedendaagse klassieke muziek.
