De Oostenrijkse staat kocht een bank op die failliet ging, dit alles kostte 19 miljard euro. Na het wegblijven van publiek protest, zette een groep architectuur- burgerlijk ingenieur- en stadsplanningsstudenten een actie op poten om aan te tonen hoeveel 19 miljard dit eigenlijk is. Ze ontwierpen een stad die voor datzelfde geld kon worden gebouwd. Meer dan 100 000 mensen konden er worden gehuisvest in een energie-efficiënte, autovrije samenleving. Ze bouwden een betonnen schaalmodel (1:100) dat ze in het midden van Karlsplatz neerplantten. Het werd vrij toegankelijk tentoongesteld voor enkele weken, waarna de betonnen blokken in een protestmars naar de vuilnisbelt van het parlement werden gedragen. **Barbara Laa** geeft een lezing als een van de bezielers van het Milliardenstadtproject over hun inspirerende protestproject in de publieke ruimte. **20:30 Lezing in het Engels \+ Mogelijkheid tot open debat Bar Recyclart -
