Essentieel is te sensibiliseren rond wat er gebeurt tussen boerderij en bord - ‘farm & fork’ – door o.a. gesprekken rond voedselproductie, consumptie etc. Deze zogenaamde “Slow Talks” zijn gratis evenementen waarin sleutelfiguren (boeren, experten, academici, politici ..) het publiek informeren. Wist je dat 30% van het voedsel dat we jaarlijks produceren verspild wordt? Ergens in de keten van oogst over verwerking en verdeling tot in onze keuken wordt voedsel verspild: overproductie en –consumptie, onaangepaste logistiek, gebruik van fossiele brandstof, voeding van de dieren, ongelijkmatige distributie, speculatie en agroindustrie….
