Zij komen praten over Basel (Zwitserland) en wat we kunnen leren voor Brussel in het kader van de beschouwingen over de toekomst van de Noord-Zuidverbinding. Basel en nabije omgeving zijn bijzonder, want gelegen op de grens tussen drie landen (Frankrijk, Zwitserland en Duitsland), met een centrale ligging in Europa maar ook met gebiedsgerichte, taalkundige en politieke moeilijkheden en tegenstellingen. De uitdagingen en de mogelijkheden voor een Europees stedelijk voorbeeldgewest in wording zijn als zodanig interessante aspecten om te ontdekken tijdens deze lezing.
