Labelbaas Paradox is één van de pioniers van het uit drum ’n bass ontwikkelde subgenre drumfunk. Dit genre creëert of recycleert obscure breakbeats, haalt ze uit hun originele context en transformeert ze in immer verschuivende patronen – bepaald verschillend van de originele drum ’n bass. Labelfilosofie van [**Scientific Wax**](http://scientificwax.com/) volgens Equinox: “we just want to deliver good music that needs to be heard by others”. Paul Watson en Equinox lagen aan de basis van dit label maar sinds Breakage zich bij Equinox voegde in 2005 kent het label een tweede jeugd met beats van o.a.
