Weinig hoor je over hun familie, of specifieker: hun moeders. De Nederlandse documentairemakers [**Marjolein Busstra**](http://www.marjoleinbusstra.com) en **Rebekka van Hartskamp** maakten een tentoonstelling met foto’s en video’s waarin ze vanuit het perspectief van deze vrouwen het stigmatiserende beeld rond de Marokkaanse jongens in vraag stellen. “[*Marokkaanse Moeders*](http://www.marokkaansemoeders.nl/)” toont enerzijds fotoportretten van de jongens die hun gezichten verbergen om anoniem te blijven, anderzijds zijn er de moeders die op film hun verhaal vertellen en uit de schaduw stappen.
