In hun muziek hoor je het resultaat van een langdurige liefde voor en scherpe analyse van (Noord)-Afrikaanse ritmes waarop melodielijnen geënt worden die refereren aan jazz, hedendaagse muziek en niet-westers idioom. Het geheel klinkt merkwaardig organisch alsof Brussel altijd al aan de Middellandse zee had gelegen. De sleutel hiervoor ligt ongetwijfeld in het grote respect waarmee de twee tradities met elkaar verweven worden. Zet je schrap voor zwetende shaabi-funk of stomende gnawa waarop eigengereide toeters het zand uit je oren blazen. Marockin' Brass is voor elke gelegenheid (openlucht of podium) een feest voor hoofd en benen (en alles wat daartussen bengelt). Hun muziek is het beklijvende lijflied van de nieuwe stadsnomade.
