Een mix van improvisatie en vloeiende composities, doorleefd gebracht met verwijzingen gaande van minimalisme of drone tot gospel, blues, country en jazz. Op haar negentiende verliet Marisa Anderson haar school in Noord Californië en begon te zwerven in de US om zich na vele jaren te vestigen in Portland, Oregon. Ze volgde aanvankelijk een klassieke gitaaropleiding maar vormde haar unieke eigen stijl door te spelen in country-, jazz- en circusbands. In 2009 bracht ze haar eerste schijf uit ‘The Golden Hour, gevolgd door ‘Mercury’ (2011), ‘Traditional and Public Domain Songs’ (2013) en ‘Into the Light’ (2015). Recent werd ze gevraagd op opnames van o.a. Beth Ditto en voor soundtracks van films. Laat u vervoeren door deze hypnotiserende muziek!
