In onze Bar kan u een stukje eten en is er een vernissage. In de ruimte naast de Bar, Vitrin 21, is er ook een tentoonstelling en om 21 uur een gratis concert in de zaal. **1/ RESTO OPEN** Ons restaurant blijft open tijdens Ex Vitro en stelt een gevarieerde kaart voor met heerlijke vegetarische schotels. Reservering mogelijk. 18:00 > 21:00 Bar Recyclart **2/ RURRU** **(26.05>19.06)** tentoonstelling De jonge Mexicaanse kunstenares **Rurru Mipanochia** mengt in haar tekeningen precolombiaanse iconografie met homoseksualiteit, pornografie en atypische schoonheid. Zoals de grenzen van sexuele eenduidigheid vervagen, zo vervagen ook die tussen menselijke wezens en half mythische of goddelijke creaturen. Er ontstaat een wellustig gewoel met transseksuele protagonisten, vaak met dikke buiken, puisten of behaarde billen. Zij studeerde aan de Universidad Autonoma (Mexico City). Opening 26.05, 19:00 Gallery 21 Ursulinenstraat 21 Te bezoeken: van ma t/m vrijdag van 11 tot 17 uur (gewoon via onthaal Recyclart) **3/ DARKAM: KUKULCAN RITUALS** fleshhook hanging performance In het kader van de tentoonstelling van Rurru brengen we een opvoering van **Darkam Arcadia** (collectief voor grafiek, piercing, tattoo en performance): Kukulcan Rituals (genoemd naar de tempel in Yucatan). Net zoals Rurru zich ent op precolombiaanse iconografie, put Darkam inspiratie uit eeuwenoude precolombiaanse praktijken van ophanging van het lichaam aan vleeshaken. Pijn fungeert hier als katalysator voor een persoonlijk veranderingsproces. Niet voor gevoelige zielen. 20:00 In openlucht voor Gallery 21 **4/ GLEO (CO)** tentoonstelling Bar Recyclart **5/ MARIACHI RELOADED (MX/BE)** concert Zoals de naam suggereert staat deze bende mezcaldrinkers voor een complexloze electrische herinterpretatie van de traditionele mexicaanse Mariachi-muziek en andere lokale stijlen. De bandleden komen uit Mexico, Honduras, Cuba en België. De muzikanten zijn even virtuoos als energiek en de arrangementen heerlijk wild: een traditionele deun kan onverwacht schuiven naar ska en eindigen in funk. De sfeer van een uit de hand gelopen mexicaanse boerenbruiloft! Hun inspiratiebronnen: Mariachi, Funk, Ska, Afro Cuban, Banda, Norteño, Folk, Mexican Cumbiero. Vanavond de Mexicaanse kers op de taart samen met de vernissage van Rurru en de vleeshaken van Darkam! Laat de zomer nu maar komen: mijn cactus staat al overeind!
