Beide ontsproten aan het brein van radicale frontman (later vrouw) Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. Psychic TV bracht vernieuwende, provocerende en experimentele muziek, aanleunend bij psychedelia, dance en industrial. Net als bij TG waren de doe-het-zelf-geest, de verpakking en stilering en de radicale levensstijl van de muzikanten, even cruciale elementen van een allesomvattende esthetiek. Psychic TV nam tientallen live- en studioplaten op gedurende 14 jaar, om er midden de jaren 90 mee op te houden. Genesis bouwde daarna verder aan een solocarrière als performance, spoken word en beeldend kunstenares. In 2003 werd Genesis benaderd door de New Yorkse drummer Edley Odowd (Toilet Boys) om de groep terug nieuw leven in te blazen, wat ook gebeurde. Sindsdien toert de groep opnieuw en brachten ze verscheidene nieuwe platen uit.
