De lezingenreeks ‘Kamers van architectuur’ wil de aandacht vestigen op enkele gebouwen die gebouwd zijn langs de Noord-Zuidspoorlijn tijdens de tweede helft van de 20e eeuw. Ze wordt georganiseerd door Vincent Heymans en Joris Moonen\*. Tijdens het specifiek historische gedeelte zal de geschiedenis van het gebouw en het project besproken worden, de debatten die plaatsvonden tijdens het ontwerp, en de herinrichting van het gebouw, momenteel in werffase*.* We spreken over de architect en zijn werk, geplaatst in een historische en stijlcontext. De lezing biedt ook een nieuwe, persoonlijke en verlichte fotografische blik, want het visuele aspect van het project is even belangrijk. De bedoeling van deze uiteenzettingen is om onbekend erfgoed te ontdekken: het gaat om, aan de hand van foto’s, te leren kijken naar gebouwen, waar men doorgaans geen aandacht voor heeft. \* Vincent HEYMANS is professor in de Architectuurgeschiedenis aan de ULB en aan ENSAV-LA CAMBRE. Joris MOONEN is architect en fotograaf. Dit najaar zijn er vernieuwingswerken aan station Brussel-Congres, waardoor de geplande lezingen van de Kamers van Architectuur van september en oktober in de Bar van Recyclart zullen plaatsvinden en niet in Congres.
