OP DE BINNENKOER! Bij wijze van educatief tijdverdrijf presenteren wij u films en trailers van films uit de periode 1955 tot 1977 die uitzonderlijk 'slecht' zijn. Aandoenlijke slechte monsters, stuntelige softporno met niet-geformatteerde lichamen, over-the-top violence, geknutselde buitenaardse wezens met voze bedoelingen.... films die dateren uit een pre-digitaal tijdperk en dikwijls op ambachtelijke wijze in de achterkeuken gedraaid werden. Het scenario is meestal onbestaande net zoals het acteertalent, het ritme is traag, de muziek pathetisch. Het ongewilde komisch effect is groot. De coulissen van de cinema of de visuele stationsroman. Kortom: ideaal om met een cocktail de zomeravond in te zetten. Niet voor gevoelige zielen. Een uur uitzitten is een uitdaging! Sex, geweld, lage driften, niet stichtende activiteiten, verveling en dat alles GRATIS! Dus wie niet tevreden is, had een geslaagde avond. We maakten dankbaar misbruik van de slechte filmcollectie van Moos, samensteller van de beruchte Leuvense 'Extravaganza' filmavonden en van de langst lopende radiouitzending op Scorpio 'Volksradio Moos'. **Vanavond: El Espejo de la Bruja** (Mexico, 1962, 75 minutes, black/white, Spanish w/ English subtitles) Deze Mexicaanse slechte film van Chano Urueta focust op een overdadige gothische horrorsfeer zonder veel aandacht voor een scenario. Stationsplot: een chirurg ruimt zijn vrouw uit de weg maar kon niet weten dat haar oude meter (moeder?) zich via zwarte magie zou wreken. Geesten, kruisen, mist, magie en een vervloekte spiegel zijn de ingrediënten in een klassiek horrordecor.
