Vanwege haar ligging op het kruispunt tussen Europa en Azië en de nabijheid van de lucratieve Zijderoute was Tbilisi door de geschiedenis heen een twistpunt tussen verschillende wereldmachten. Onze gastsprekers voor deze avond zijn [**Irina Kurtishvili**](https://www.irinakurtishvili.com/) en [**Erik-Jan Ouwerkerk**](https://www.archdaily.com/photographer/erik-jan-ouwerkerk). Irina is kunstenaar en curator. Ze onderzoekt en cureert op het gebied van architectuur en geschiedenis met de nadruk op Georgië. Irina schreef boeken en publicaties rond architectuur uit de 19e/20e eeuw in Tbilisi en het onafhankelijke Georgië. In 2018 was ze curator van de tentoonstellingen “Hybrid Tbilisi. Reflections on Architecture in Georgia” (DAM, Frankfurt am Main) en “Georgia in Five Stations” (Ringturm, Wenen).
