[Local Studio](https://www.localstudio.co.za/) is een bureau voor architectuur en stedenbouw gevestigd in Brixton, Johannesburg. Het bureau is in 2012 opgericht door Thomas Chapman, met een speciale focus op de herintroductie van 'openbaarheid' in de postapartheidsstad, met de voormalige westelijke gebieden van Johannesburg als case study. Vandaag de dag heeft Local Studio 15 fulltime medewerkers in dienst en beschikt het over een gevarieerd portfolio van gerealiseerd werk bestaande uit openbare gebouwen, stedenbouwkundige plannen en particuliere woningen. Het bureau werkt voornamelijk in het kader van betaalbare woningbouw, sociale infrastructuur en openbare ruimte en is verantwoordelijk voor verschillende projecten die een rol hebben gespeeld in de regeneratie van het centrum van Johannesburg.
