BRATISLAVA ============================= lezing IBAI 04 24.04.13 [Architectuur & stedenbouw](https://recyclart.be/nl/agenda?category=architectuur-stedenbouw) Deuren 20:00 Lezing 20:30 - 3 euro In het kader van de lezingenreeks van IBAI, getiteld ‘Greetings from...’, laten we architecten uit vijf verre of weinig bekende steden aan het woord om hun persoonlijke visie te geven over hun stad en te praten over de projecten die ze er ontwikkelen. Deze keer nodigen we **Lukáš Kordík** uit van het Slovaakse collectief GutGut om te praten over zijn stad Bratislava. **Bratislava** is de hoofdstad van Slovakije en telt ongeveer 460,000 inwoners, meteen de grootste stad van het land. Gelegen in Zuid-West Slovakije op beide oevers van de Donaurivier en op de linkeroever van de Moravarivier en grenzend aan Oostenrijk en Hongarije, is het de enige nationale hoofdstad die grenst aan twee onafhankelijke staten. Het stedelijk landschap is gekenmerkt door middeleeuwse torens en grandioze 20ste eeuwse gebouwen, maar sinds het begin van de 21ste eeuw veranderde het uitzicht van de stad drastisch door een ongekende bouwwoede. **GutGut** zijn drie Slovaakse architecten (Peter Jurkovic, Lukáš Kordík, Števo Polakovic), actief in architectuur en stedenbouw. Hun kennis is internationaal in reikwijdte, maar blijft lokaal van focus. Ze combineren ervaring met frisse stoutmoedigheid; een contextuele aanpak met hedendaagse trends; pragmatisme met speculatief denken en onderzoek met praktijk. GutGut is betrokken bij de organisatie van het festival ‘Days of Architecture and Design’ (DAAD)’, dat gelijktijdig in Bratislava en Košice plaatsvindt en ze zijn stichtende leden van OFCA (Office For Collaborative Architects), een informeel collectief van verschillende architecten die kennis en bekwaamheden delen en samenwerken rond verschillende projecten, wedstrijden, onderzoeksopdrachten en beursprojecten.
