Een beetje verscholen tussen haar "grote" buren Brazilië, Argentinië en Bolivia, verbergt deze kleine republiek veel geschiedenis, verborgen geheimen maar ook een nieuwe getalenteerde en actieve jonge scène. Onder hen onze gastsprekers **Viviana Pozzoli** (1990) en **Horacio Cherniavsky** (1989), twee van de drie partners van het jonge lokale architectuurbureau [**EQUIPO DE ARQUITECTURA**](https://www.equipodearquitectura.com.py/). Beiden studeerden aan de Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción en openden het bureau direct na het behalen van hun diploma, een paar jaar geleden. Hun belangrijkste project tot nu toe is "Caja de Tierra", een project voor hun eigen architectenbureau: een experimenteel proces van gebruik en transformatie van beschikbare en gerecycleerde materialen, zoals aarde, glas en bekistingshout, die tussen twee bestaande bomen werden gemonteerd. Het resultaat is een elegant, subtiel en natuurlijk geventileerd klein gebouw van 45m² in Asunción.
