Een stem uit een donkere onderwereld, tegelijk hyperstedelijk en toch van een andere tijd en ruimte. Twee jaar later verscheen op Warp zijn album ‘A Sufi and a Killer’ – een mijlpaal. Verleden jaar verscheen ‘Callus’ en dit jaar bracht hij zijn ‘Mandela Effect’ uit. Gonjasufi speelt met klanktextuur en erosie van klank zonder gevoel voor beestig vette beats te verliezen en zonder te verzinken in zweverigheid. Het beste van vele werelden. Hij zal begeleid worden door zijn beatmakersduo Skrapez: Jon Calzo (aka Tenshun) en David Lampley (aka Psychopop). Intro en outro door niemand minden dan Lowdjo, geestesverwant en al geruime tijd muzikale broeder van Gonjasufi.
