Maison CFC (éditions & librairie) : 14 Martelaarsplein 1000 B De extra fort avonden geven carte blanche aan twee fotografen; gedurende een uur stelt elk van hen zijn werk en dat van anderen voor. Ze verkennen eveneens andere domeinen zoals betonstructuren, gebraden kip, pistache ijscrème of zelfs tijgerbikini’s. Deze avonden zijn de perfecte gelegenheid voor onverwachtheden en verrassingen die de ontmoeting tussen artiest en publiek voeden. Voor de start van deze reeks nodigen we [Thomas Seelig](https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Artist/Thomas-Seelig-1883706921864801/) uit. Als curator, uitgever van het Fotomuseum Winterthur sinds 2003, is hij onlangs een nieuwe uitdaging aangegaan als directeur van de afdeling fotografie van het Folkwang Museum in Essen. Hij is de maker van vele thematische tentoonstellingen waaronder The Ecstasy of Things (2004), Research and Invention (2007), Karaoke (2009) of Concrete - Architecture and Photography (2013) en de fantastische The Hobbyist in 2017. Het is een grote eer om hem te ontvangen. Hij heeft gekozen om [Herrtta Kiiski](http://www.herttakiiski.com/) mee te brengen, een Finse fotografe die werkt met vaste of bewegende beelden, objecten, ruimten. In haar werk doet ze onderzoek naar dieren en ook naar haar zussen. Veel van haar onderzoek heeft te maken met post-humanisme en eco-feminisme. Aanwezig in vele collecties, en vele malen geëxposeerd, zowel in Finland als buiten de grenzen van haar land. Haar tweede boek 'I was an apple and I got peeled – but it was a good thing', gepubliceerd in 2016 door Kehrer Verlag is simpelweg een klein wonder.
