In haar foto’s experimenteert de Franse **Anne-Camille Allueva** (°1984) met de beleving van ruimtes, objecten en het zichtbare. Centraal staat een spel van verschijning en verdwijning, van fotografie als vertroebelende filter van de werkelijkheid, illusiescheppend in plaats van verhelderend, verhullend in plaats van onthullend. Foto’s die niet iets afbeelden, maar ingrijpen op de werkelijkheid. De in Brussel wonende Togolese **Hélène Amouzou** (°1969) besloot enkele jaren geleden fotografiecursussen te volgen en de lens op haarzelf te richten. Het resultaat is een niet-uitputtende reeks zelfportretten en stillevens, vaak genomen in de beslotenheid van een zolderkamer. Een spel van schaduw en licht, metamorfoses, naakt, koffers en kleren. Wie is deze vrouw? Waar komt ze vandaan? De foto’s lijken te getuigen van een pijnlijke zelfbevraging.
