Dit nieuwe werk werd ontwikkeld en opgenomen in zijn geboorteland Malta, waar hij een studio in een grot bouwde (een voormalige geitenstal). Kristian verzamelde bamboe-instrumenten over de hele wereld, waaronder een oude Quecha rietpijp, en verschillende resonerende vaten en percussieve objecten en atonale fluiten gebouwd van versgesneden riet.
