Brecht werd in 1986 in Hasselt geboren en ging naar LUCA School of ARTs in Gent voordat hij zijn praktijk begon, die hij sinds 2013 vanuit Parijs, waar hij woont en werkt, voortzet. Prijzen, erkenningen, boeken, fresco's en andere formaten blijven zichzelf heruitvinden in en rond het werk van deze kunstenaar met zijn herkenbare gekke, gevoelige en meerlagige stijl. Zijn laatste boek Les Rigoles werd uitgebracht in augustus 2018. Voor dit stripboek werd Evens bekroond met de Fauve-Prix Spécial du Jury op het Angoulême Comic Book Festival 2019. Venez, luister, enjoy ! **+ POP UP ARCHIKIDS** Elke woensdag komt op de Recyclart site een gekke bende kleine architecturale enthousiastelingen samen. De Archikids! Voor deze gelegeheid laten ze hun zotste ideeën en dromen de vrije loop in een grote pop up die we samen met kunstenaar Sébastien Thielens gaan realiseren. Het werkterrein is de directe buurt: Hertogin van brabantplein - Manchesterstraat - kanaal - Liverpoolplein. Hoe zien de kinderen deze buurt? Welke wilde dieren zullen op het plein grazen, waar komen er de meest ongewone speeltuigen, kan er ergens nog een tof bos aangeplant worden of een fantastische futuristische brug over het kanaal komen, ...? De Archikids weten what's up en what's coming. Straight back from the future en terug.
