Luisteren naar een geluid waarvan de bron aan het zicht wordt onttrokken. Dit is wat we Acousmonium noemen. Mis deze unieke kans niet om componist Caroline Profaner en de composities van studenten van de afdeling Acousmatica van *Arts2* (Bergen) te horen tijdens dit elektroakoestische concert. De acousmatische compositieklas van ARTS² is verheugd Caroline Profanter te mogen verwelkomen voor een concert in Recylcart op vrijdag 13 december. Dit concert zal grotendeels aan hem gewijd zijn, maar we zullen ook composities horen van masterstudenten van het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Mons. **Caroline Profanter** Caroline Profanter werkt op het gebied van elektroakoestische en acousmatische muziek als componist en uitvoerder. Ze studeerde elektroakoestische compositie aan de Universiteit voor Muziek en Podiumkunst Wenen. Tijdens deze opleiding creëerde ze haar eerste composities op drager en begon ze samen te werken met muzikanten en kunstenaars in interdisciplinaire projecten. In 2016 behaalde ze haar Masterdiploma in akoestische compositie aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Mons. Haar composities werden uitgevoerd op talrijke festivals, waaronder The Acousmatic Project - Wenen, Espace du Son - Brussel, Sound Spaces - Malmö, Plage Sonore - Le Havre, Sync - Jekaterinburg, Tempo Reale - Firenze. Sinds 2017 werkt ze voor Q-O2 workspace voor experimentele muziek en geluidskunst in Brussel. **Acousmatisch en Acousmonium:** Het principe van het elektro-akoestische concert is dat van luisteren via een dispositief van een verscheidenheid aan luidsprekers op het podium en in de zaal. (Voor ons concert zullen er ongeveer dertig zijn). Dit dispositief wordt het Acousmonium genoemd. Het doel is om de muziek te ruimtelijk te maken door de akoestische ruimte van de zaal te laten klinken, door de klanken te laten circuleren - om het werk te benadrukken en het luisterpubliek aan te bieden met de meest nauwkeurige aanwezigheidsacuïteit.
