Vervolgens besloot het Lowup-collectief in 2011 een eigen label op te richten waarvan de eerste plaat in februari 2012 het licht ziet. In september 2012 krijgen ze golflengtetijd op FM Brussel en duurt het weekend tot dinsdag, terwijl de bassen trillen en de avond exotisch kleurt. Voor de vijfde verjaardag van Lowup komen ze terug naar Recyclart en dat belooft ongetwijfeld opnieuw een vet feestje te worden. Op de affiche staan naast de leden van het collectief, twee Engelse namen : Murlo en Funkystepz. Hoewel van nature eerder discreet, laat Chris Pell, alias **Murlo** (Lowup Records, Polinate), zich het laatste jaar meer en meer opmerken met nummers die eerder in de Caraïben thuishoren dan in de Oostelijke Midlands. Op zijn laatste ep ‘Wineyard’ slingert hij tussen het typische UK funky geluid, snelle soca en Jamaïcaanse dancehallritmes, de basis voor zijn volgende ‘[Quartz](http://soundcloud.com/lowuprecords/sets/lwp004-murlo-quartz-ep-out/%20)’ ep, uitgebracht op Lowup. **Funkystepz** (Hyperdub, Forever Live Young) is een collectief van twee producers en een dj. In een paar jaar tijd brachten ze niet minder dan 10 ep’s uit, voornamelijk op hun eigen label ‘Forever Live Young’, maar ook op ‘Hyperdub’, het succesvolle label van Kode 9. Begin 2013 komt nog de nieuwe ep ‘Backlog’ uit met 9 nummers die hun visie op dansmuziek zonder grenzen kracht zal bijzetten. Uk funky, house, grime… het wordt een set zonder toegevingen !
