Dit zwaargewicht onder dj’s begon 10 jaar geleden zijn eigen tracks te produceren na jaren van andermans plaatjes draaien in donkere kamertjes overal ter wereld. In 2010 lanceerde hij zijn debuutalbum, een elektronisch pareltje, met gastoptredens van bekend volk als James Murphy, Alexis Taylor van Hot Chip en Nancy Whang. Meer DFA: een live van de Canadees **Dan Bodan** die er een aparte stijl van songwriting op nahoudt: hij ent productiemethodes uit de experimentele en elektronische dansmuziek op eenvoudige, maar ongeveinsde lovesongs. In 2007 verhuisde hij naar Berlijn en begon samen te werken met creatievelingen van alle slag, bracht zijn eerste digitale downloads uit en richtte een eigen platenlabel op. Daarop volgden releases van tal van singles waaronder een split 7’’ met Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip). Dan Bodan zal in de lente weer toeslaan op DFA met een nieuw album. **Fais Le Beau** kreeg de smaak voor het betere werk door zich te laven aan de muzikale tepels van labels als Minus, Kompakt, Ostgut Ton, Playhouse en Klang. Ideaal als opwarmer voor koude winternachten als deze. **Bruce Botnik** houdt het simpel: samples, harde electronica, overstuurde vintage pop…de spreekwoordelijke knal op uw al even spreekwoordelijke vuurpijl.
