Les bancs devraient rendre impossible le stationnement dans la rue, qui est officiellement une zone résidentielle depuis sa reconstruction il y a deux ans. Dans la rue de la Braie se trouvent plusieurs écoles, il fallait donc que la nouvelle rue soit adaptée aux enfants. La vitesse est limitée à 20 kilomètres par heure et le nombre de places de stationnement a été considérablement réduit lorsque la rue a été refaite. Le réaménagement de la rue ayant pris un certain temps, les voitures ont toutefois continué à se garer illégalement. Les bancs qui sont en train d'être installés devraient bannir définitivement cette pratique. Les bancs, quinze au total, ont des formes fantaisistes. Ils sont assemblés à Recyclart d'après un projet de l'architecte Yannick Roels.
