TUVALU met 7 years ago at a workshop, and decided that drinking belgian beer and making music was cheaper than therapy. Since then, quite a few seeds sprouted, people were born and people died, baby birds grew up and started hunting on their own, there’s even a little girl that’s as old as this project. 

More of TUVALU the country is under water too. And even though we eventually found some good psychologists, we still felt the need to dream, be friends, communicate a tongue and cheek reality which is also our way of overcoming trauma, disappointment, rage, fears, find solace and peace in ourselves, and putting on a show at the same time.

On dit du son de ce groupe qu'il accélère la germination des graines, fait transpirer les gens avides et favorise la digestion des oisillons. Servi avec une bière belge bien forte.

Les paroles des chansons de Tuvalu relatent des bribes du quotidien et projettent des visions oniriques. Elles sont chantées en anglais, sur une toile de post punk et de pop psychédélique. Les oscillations de clavier mélangées aux riffs de guitare euphoriques sont parfois interrompues par une batterie rageuse et claudicante, mais retombent toujours en une pop entêtante et addictive.

After 2 long years we’re happy to invite you to the release of our first LP Playmobil.

For the occasion we invited some of those who have been alongside us artistically and “frienshipilly”, whose work we connect with and whose souls we adore.

MES LÈVRES 

Mes Lèvres (anciennement inconnu sous le nom de van Twolips) est un duo vocal bruxellois qui réunit un guitaresque et un accordéoniste. L'utilisation de leurs instruments est le fruit d'une musique imaginaire, d'un temps oublié ou pas encore arrivé. 

Les lèvres de cette paire binomiale appartiennent à: 

Matthieu Ha, compositeur et accordéoniste qui a créé son propre univers musical avec une voix lumineuse, capable d'aligner plusieurs registres vocaux (haut-contre, baryton romantique et ténor rockailleux). 

Cayo qui superpose sa voix de velours étrangement euphonique à sa guitare électrique, apportant poésie et sensualité naturelle aux chansons.

NUMBER FATE

Some find reassurance  in numbers, be them even or uneven. sometimes just the original duo of troubadours, sometimes 3, sometimes 4, this time we’ll have for the first time the full band of Number Fate, and we won’t miss that for anything

We’ve asked Thibault to do the artwork for our much awaited vinyl, and not only did he do a beautiful job, he was also able to pin down the little characters we are: not just playmobil, not just children at heart, but also nonsensical creatures.
