Il est aussi réputé pour son énergie sur scène que pour sa collection d’instruments fabriqués maison avec lesquels il crée un son poignant et profond. Pour en citer quelques-uns : The Hornicator (bassriff-loops avec corne de gramophone), Sister Spinster (machine motorisée à percus), Mother Superior, etc. Mais ce barde est avant tout un auteur-compositeur hors norme sur les prostituées et les clones. Il a tourné e.a. avec les Dresden Dolls, est monté sur scène avec Foetus et s’est produit tant lors du Glastonbury Festival que du Edinburgh Fringe Festival. *"Gudrun Gut is a story about a "geniale dilettante", a punk and a No Waver and an early adopter of computer pop; a girl from German heatherlands who moved to Berlin to become one of the city's central figures -feminist agitator, festival organizer, entrepreneur. Plus of course musician, performance artist, DJ, radio presenter, club organizer, cultural ambassador and label owner. She has done all of this largely by maintaining her independence. Not in the rejectionist strain that characterizes knee-jerk American individualism, but rather by creating and attending to niches and spaces of possibility in the interstices and the margins." (The Wire)* Gudrun Gut, icône berlinoise, est depuis quasiment 30 ans un maillon clé de l’histoire de la musique, du postpunk à l’indietronics en passant par la techno. Cette diva a cofondé des groupes comme Einstürzende Neubauten, Malaria!, Mania D. et Matador. On lui doit de nombreux projets de récitation et multimédias. Elle anime l’‘Oceanclub Radio Show’ (Radio Eins) avec Thomas Fehlmann, elle a fondé le label Monika Enterprise et avec l’équipe d’Oceanclub, elle jette des ponts vers d’autres clubs et festivals. En octobre 2012, elle a sorti son dernier cd ‘WIldlife’, tout en innovation et en intensité.
