Multipolaire, versatile est en effet l’univers sonore de ce projet qui, à l’image de son instigateur, virevolte avec une virtuosité de prestidigitateur entre les styles et les univers musicaux – nu-jazz onirique, trip-hop cinématique, dub psychédélique, Moyen-Orient électroacoustique et drum & bass narcotique. Une clarinette turque électrifiée, un Theremin fait maison, un saxophone soprano et une senza-fuzz: tels sont les ingrédients de base à partir desquels, avec l’aide de l’électronique, The Fakir distille son élixir musical roboratif et singulièrement euphorisant.
