Ca fait penser au Joe Zawinul’s Syndicate avec le Nigeria '70 de Fela, au rythme mbalax. Composé de membres issus de la banlieue parisienne de Montreuil, de Ouagadougou et du quartier coloré de La Guillotière, à Lyon, **SUPERGOMBO** (Fr) est ‘the best of many worlds’. Huit hommes, du grand live! **ONOM AGEMO & THE DISCO JUMPERS** (D) (Agogo Records, Berlin): cette nouvelle formation autour de celui qui a inspiré le groupe d'éthio-jazz Woima Collective repousse et tire agréablement les limites du genre comme jamais auparavant : un brillant éthio-swing mêlé sans gêne à du Kraut, avec de solides incursions de jazz et de musique psychédalique... le tout avec un groove continu irrésistible. Ils chaufferont d'abord l'ambiance à l'extérieur pour clôturer en salle dans une atmosphère torride avec du ‘dancefloor heat from all around the world’. Spiritual jazz, raw afro disco-funk, kraut & psychedelic. Avec une attention spéciale au tout nouveau mouvement dance originaire de Durban qui suscite un engouement passionné, le Gqom!
