De la musique psychédélique au rock avec influence du shaabi égyptien: tout y passe, mais les enregistrements excellent par les percussions subtiles et les transitions osées. Il se produit à Recyclart avec son trio, live. Aujourd’hui, le trio est à l’affiche du festival Transmediale de Berlin. **The Dwarfs of East Agouza** C’est le joli petit nom d’un trio formé en 2012 au Caire avec **Maurice Louca** (keyboards/electronics), **Sam Shalabi** (electric guitar/synth) et **Alan Bishop** (guitar/saxophone/vocals). Sam Shalabi (qui a e.a. travaillé avec Godspeed you…) s’est produit en 2014, avec son oud, en solo, à Recyclart où il était invité pour ‘Urban Rituals’. Alan Bishop n’est pas un inconnu; c’est lui qui est à l’origine du label ‘Sublime Frequencies’. Le groupe joue principalement des impros hypnotiques, qui devraient sortir dans le courant de cette année. Chacun de ces messieurs est plus que surbooké, il est donc exceptionnel de les voir réunis.
