Ils font des plans de villes et des installations, interviennent dans l’espace public et sont sensibles à la mode. Le rôle de l’architecture est apparu les 20 dernières années sous la pression des exigences du marché: les clients, les politiques et les promoteurs immobiliers. ZUS exige à nouveau un rôle social pour l’architecte grâce à la visualisation des changements sociaux sous la forme de l’architecture inutilisée et de l’activisme urbain. La conférence de Kristian Koreman abordera en particulier la participation à la confection et au développement du District Central de Rotterdam, le quartier autour de la gare internationale de la ville. Des cas pratiques comme la réaffectation d’un immeuble de bureaux abandonné sur la Schiekade, la création d’une plate-forme pour la culture urbaine: “Dépendance”, le “Schieblok” et la construction de “Luchtsingel” seront notamment présentés.
