Mechatorus is the collaborative moniker of Mechatok & Torus, two of the best producers out there who have been affiliated with your favorites including Malibu, Toxe, Bladee, Yung Lean, Fakemink, Charli XCX and so many more. Mechatorus have only performed together a handful of times, notably at Dekmantel last year with an exhilarating set that "tapped into the dialects of EDM, trance, pop, and K-pop, playing with their symbolism and energy to create these moments of crowd unity." (Nero). Can't wait to see that dance floor annihilation happen!!!
☽ TAMANARAMEN (JAPAN) ☽
Tamanaramen’s music defies easy categorization upon first listen. With its singular name, the Tokyo-born duo, composed of sisters Pikam and Hana Watanabe, masterfully blends techno, ambient, and bass instrumentals, elevated by Pikam’s ethereal, whisper-like vocals. Despite their futuristic, sci-fi aesthetic, the group debuted in 2018, crafting a distinctive universe with 3D visuals and frosty hues. Following their initial release My Summer Memories in 2018 and their debut EP Hajimari (Japanese for Beginning) in 2023, they’ve captivated audiences across the globe. Their recent singles, Naminokatachi & 14 Rue D’abbeville, showcase their signature techno and bass-driven soundscapes. Very excited to bring them to Belgium for the first time :)))
☽ DV-i (US) ☽
For nearly a decade, Valerie Caputo has built a reputation for herself under the DV-i moniker as a multimedia artist specializing in the sounds and imagery of the digital-age, helping to define the breakbeat hardcore revival with video game soundtracks and other recordings leaning into the sounds of various movements in techno and drum and bass. Having collaborated with artists ranging from A. G. Cook to Anamanaguchi, working with both old ROMplers and contemporary DAWs, she creates a lush, futuristic digiscape replete with stacked pads and lush breaks. It's been our dream to bring her to Europe and we are very honored to present her first show here.
