LUANDA ========================= conférence IBAI 05 29.05.13 [Architecture & urbanisme](https://recyclart.be/fr/agenda?category=architecture-urbanisme) Portes 20:00 - 3 euros Conférence 20:30 Dans le cadre du cycle de conférences IBAI ‘Greetings from...’ nous invitons des architectes de cinq villes lointaines ou mal connues à nous présenter leur vision personnelle de leur ville et certains projets qu’ils y développent. Après Moscou (conférence de janvier), Istanbul (février), Chicago (mars) et Bratislava (avril), nous donnons la parole à **Paulo Moreira** qui vient nous parler de Luanda. Luanda est la capitale de l’Angola (Afrique australe). Le pays (ex-colonie portugaise) accède à son indépendance en 1975, à laquelle succède une longue guerre civile (1975-2002). Avec la fin de la guerre civile d’Angola,, Luanda s’est lancée dans une renaissance folle. L’essor économique, généré par le boom pétrolier, a complètement bouleversé l’ordre social et urbain de la ville. Cependant, les investissements des autorités locales et d’entités étrangères d’aménagement prennent rarement en compte la vitalité qui infiltre les ‘musseques’ (quartiers informels de Luanda). Suite à la ‘modernisation’ en cours du centre-ville, des quartiers entiers sont détruits et leurs habitants expulsés en périphérie. Paulo Moreira est diplômé en architecture de la Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto, Portugal en 2005. Depuis 2010, il est doctorant à la Sir John Cass Faculty of Art, Architecture and Design de la London Metropolitan University (où il s’est décerné un Master en 2009). En 2012, il a reçu le Prix Tavora (Ordem dos Arquitectos – Portugal); en 2009, le Prize for Social Entrepreneurship (The Cass – UK) ainsi que le Noel Hill Travel Award (American Institute of Architects – UK Chapter).
