[**Ogoya Nengo**](http://honestjons.com/shop/artist/Rangala) est née Anastasia Oluoch en 1943 sur les rives du lac Victoria au Kenya. Elle a grandi chanteuse Dodo, parmi ces chanteurs qui sont les messagers et les commentateurs pour la communauté (aussi lors des mariages, des enterrements et des assemblées). A 13 ans déjà, ses dons exceptionnels de chanteuse lui ont valu de recevoir son nom Ogoya Nengo (La Lauréate). Ses débuts "[Rang’ala - New Recordings From Siaya County, Kenya](https://soundcloud.com/honest-jons/sets/rangala/s-SS21v)" ont été produits par [**Stefan Schneider**](http://www.bureau-b.de/schneiderkacirek.php) (Mapstation, To Rococo Rot) et **Sven Kacirek** sur Honest Jon’ s. Collaboration éblouissante et pleine de respect entre des voix sans fards, des percussions et d’électronique. [**Umeme Afrorave**](http://umeme.nl/), ‘Umeme’ signifie ‘éclair’ en Swahili et il est clair que le merveilleux crossover d’afrobeat avec des synthés de ce full live band vous foudroiera littéralement. Mais on peut aussi l’interpréter à un autre niveau ; ‘Umeme’ signifie aussi ‘électricité’ et renvoie au mélange de soukous plus traditionnel et de beats électroniques plus bruts et synthés. Soukous, boîtes à rythmes, tambours live et percussions vous immergent dans une ambiance de club tropical. [**Poté**](https://soundcloud.com/potemusic) doit son nom au fait qu’il signifie ‘grand bruit’. L’année dernière, ses releases semtex retentissantes sur le label Black Gold et sa participation à ‘Upper Cuts’ d’Enchufada l’ont propulsé aux sommets. Ses dansbeats lourds et hachés sont empreints d’influences soca et de kuduro fumant d’Angola. Ce qui lui a valu le soutien et le respect des grands comme Toddla T (BBC Radio 1), B.Traits (BBC 1Xtra), Branko (Buraka Som Sistema), Artwork, Scratch Pevertz et Kutz. En octobre, il a mis le feu au Recyclart nightshop.
