Tantôt aussi malléables que l’eau, tantôt aussi rigides que le béton mais toujours si délicieusement sombres, toujours imaginatifs. [**Dans Dans**](http://www.bestov.be/content/dans-dans-0) est surtout lui-même : une trinité musicale qui fait fusionner, sans prétention, rock, jazz et film noir. Le guitariste Bert Dockx est aussi connu pour être l’initiateur de ‘Flying Horsemen’ (dont il a dirigé ici les jams pendant tout un an, en 2010 ), le bassiste Fred Lyenn est e.a. aussi parolier de ‘Lyenn’ et à la batterie, Steven Cassierle, que l’on peut entendre aussi notamment avec Dez Mona. [**Polar Bear**](http://www.polarbearmusic.com/) relègue au second plan la virtuosité individuelle au profit de la création musicale collective, avec une palette émotionnelle très large : intimiste, lyrique, expressive, minimaliste, répétitive, sauvagerie qui tend vers le free jazz. Ou “post-industrial scrub, grimy metropolitan house parties, snowy wastelands, dark mountain gatherings”. Tous les instruments sont samplés et déformés électroniquement selon les besoins pendant que Leafcutter John puise dans les sons des objets de tous les jours pour assouvir son penchant pour la musique numérique. Les saxos mènent leur propre vie, se rejoignent et s’éloignent. Le batteur Seb Rochford vient sacrer le tout, de ses percus inimitables. Il en résulte un passionnant concert d’une diversité inouïe qui montre tout ce que le ‘jazz’ recèle de puissance au 21e siècle. Fascinant.
