En 2011 le crew décide de lancer son propre label Lowup Records, avec une première sortie en février 2012. En septembre 2012, FM Brussel leur accorde du temps sur ses ondes et voilà que le week-end dure jusque mardi, rythmé par les vibrations des basses, les soirées teintées d’exotisme. Pour le cinquième anniversaire de Lowup, ils reviennent chez Recyclart pour une nouvelle soirée mémorable. A l’affiche : les membres du collectif, deux Anglais : Murlo et Funkystepz. Bien que d'un naturel plutôt discret, Chris Pell aka [**Murlo**](/admin/evenements/%20https:/www.facebook.com/djmurlo%20) (Lowup Records, Polinate) se fait de plus en plus remarquer depuis une bonne année avec des morceaux qu’on situerait plutôt aux Caraïbes que dans les Midlands de l’Est. Dans son dernier EP ‘Wineyard’, il arpente la tangente entre son funky bien british, soca endiablée et dancehall de Jamaïque, la base de son prochain ‘[Quartz](http://soundcloud.com/lowuprecords/sets/lwp004-murlo-quartz-ep-out/%20)’, chez Lowup. [**Funkystepz**](https://www.facebook.com/Funkystepz) (Hyperdub, Forever Live Young) est un collectif de 2 producteurs (Renay & Stimpy) et d’un DJ (Maxsin). Ils ont sorti pas moins de 10 EPs depuis novembre 2010, principalement sur leur propre label ‘Forever Live Young’ mais aussi sur la très célèbre étiquette de Kode 9, ‘Hyperdub’. Début 2013 sera marqué par la sortie d'un nouvel opus de 9 titres ‘Backlog’ qui confirmera certainement leur vision d'une dance music sans frontières.
